On World Environment Day, the Environment Protection Committee of the Regional College organized a series of programs dedicated to preserving and safeguarding our environment. The event was graced by Dr. Anshu Surana, Vice Chairman – Regional College, and Dr. Bindu Sharma, the Director General, who inaugurated the program with the lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana.
The students took center stage and delivered enlightening lectures on tree plantation and performed engaging street plays highlighting the importance of environmental protection and the consequences of pollution. To further enhance awareness, an ecological protection competition was held among the students, fostering knowledge and consciousness about the environment.
A standout moment of the event was the tree plantation program, where the students joined hands to plant over 500 trees within the college campus. This activity served as a powerful bond between the students, uniting them in their commitment to environmental preservation. The Principal of Regional Engineering College applauded the students for their remarkable contribution to environmental protection. He expressed his pride in the dedication shown by the young generation, emphasizing the significance of safeguarding our environment in today’s world.
Distinguished guests including the HOD’s of all engineering departments such as Dr. Kedar Narayan Berwa Eng., Eng. Madhumay Sen, Eng. Mahendra Saini, Eng. Saurabh Patni, Dr. Dharmendra Saxena, Dr. Mohit Gupta, Kumari Ashwini, Dr. Renu Saxena, Assistant Professor Radheshyam Singh Sikarwar, and Nitisha Bhargava were also present, lending their support to the cause.
